The goal of our Chronic Disease and Injury Prevention (CDIP) Department is to reduce the burden of preventable chronic diseases important to public health in Windsor-Essex. We work to increase the number of people in Windsor-Essex who live, work, play, and learn in healthy environments that prevent chronic diseases. We focus on the adoption of healthy behaviours and skills that reduce the risk of chronic diseases.
We provide programming to the adult population in the following areas:
- Physical Activity
- Injury Prevention (On and off road safety and falls)
- Substance Misuse (Drugs and Alcohol)
- Tobacco (Protection, Prevention, and Cessation)
