- All in-person meetings, classes, clinics, courses, and certification exams are cancelled effective immediately. If you have registered for any of these services the health unit will be in touch with you.
- Consultations with public health staff, such as Lactation Consultants, Public Health Inspectors, Public Health Nurses, and Family Home Visitors for high risk clients will continue to be offered by phone/video.
- Public Health Inspectors and Tobacco Enforcement Officers remain out in the community enforcing provincial and local laws and orders. Our dental professionals continue to see current clients with urgent dental needs.
- Our Windsor office is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Please note that our Leamington Office will accept private residential well water samples for coliform and E.coli testing, but all other services are cancelled. The Essex office is closed.
If you have recently travelled outside of Canada AND have developed a fever, cough, or difficulty breathing, please do not visit our offices. Please contact your primary care provider or call us at 519-258-2146, extension 1420.
Your patience and understanding is appreciated while we work to prevent the introduction of COVID-19 in Windsor and Essex County. The health and well-being of our community is our top priority.
