Animal and Insect-related Diseases

Animal and insect-related diseases - also referred to as Zoonotic and Vector-borne diseases are defined as diseases that are caused by viruses, bacteria, parasites, or fungi, and that can be transmitted between humans and animals.

Climate change has also been shown to play a role in the establishment and expansion of zoonotic diseases in our region.
