School Health Goals: Ideas for Action

Whether you are working towards the Ophea Healthy Schools Certification or your school health goals, Ideas for Action can help support leaders of all ages in the planning and implementation of activities that promote and enhance the health and well-being of students, school staff and the broader community.


What is Ideas for Action?

Ideas for Action is a free activity-based resource from Ophea.  It has easy-to-use activities on the topics of healthy eating, mental health and physical activity.  These activities can be modified for elementary or secondary students and their leaders.

This resource is a starting point and includes a variety of engaging activity ideas, information about existing programs and resources, tips for getting started, things to consider and offers sources of support in Ontario.  

The activities include how-to-instructions, supplies that are required and ideas for getting more creative.


Who is this resource for?

This resource can be used by leaders of all ages in both elementary and secondary schools.
