For more than a century, the Windsor‑Essex County Health Unit (WECHU) has been dedicated to supporting the health and well‑being of everyone in Windsor-Essex County. The knowledgeable and committed staff continues to work toward the vision of healthy people in a healthy community, focusing on both health promotion and health protection initiatives.

The annual report is an overview of some key community initiatives that took place in 2017, such as Baby Friendly Designation, Windsor-Essex Community Opioid Strategy Leadership Committee, mosquito surveillance, ICON (Immunization Connect Ontario) implementation, along with accountability indicators, financial data, and messages from Dr. Kirk, Dr. Ahmed and Theresa Marentette.
