Our Health Unit is proud to have a long history of participating in the education of post-secondary students and is committed to providing service excellence. To ensure a competent public health workforce, we have adopted an organizational culture that fosters ongoing learning and is committed to engaging in partnerships with academic institutions to provide educational opportunities for post-secondary students.
We offer a wide variety of learning opportunities that assist students’ in their learning needs while providing excellent work experience that reflects the diverse programs and services offered within public health. Some of the placements that we provide are:
- Nursing Programs
- Health Promotion Activities
- Health Inspection
- Nutrition
- Graphic Design
- Others as requested
Student placements provide positive learning experiences for students and professional development opportunities for staff that is beneficial to everyone involved.
