Between May 21, 2024 and October 31, 2024, a mosquito larviciding program will be conducted to reduce mosquito populations in Windsor-Essex County.

Wildfires produce dense smoke that can be a major source of air pollution. This pollution contains gases and fine particles that penetrate deep into our lungs and bloodstream, sometimes leading to serious health effects.

The Environmental Health Department inspects public recreational water facilities such as pools, spas, spray/splash pads, and waterslides for compliance to Ontario Regulation 565: Public Pools.

The WECHU also conducts other types of inspections on a request basis. An online form must be completed and submitted to notify a Public Health Inspector of these types of requests.
